Alessandro Savelli was born in Milan in 1955. He graduated at Brera Art Academy in 1973 and graduated in architecture at Milan Polytechnic in 1979. Since 1983 he taught at the Ratti art School in Desio, from 1992 to 2001 he was Professor of Painting at Aldo Galli Gallery in Como. He is currently headmaster at Pio XI school in Desio and Director of the Free Academy V. Viviani in Nova Milanese.

He started his personal exhibitions in 1974 at San Rocco Gallery in Seregno, and has since then staged more than fifty personal exhibitions in Italy, Switzerland, Japan and Germany. Among his most recent exhibitions we have to remember the Anthological Exhibition Thirty Years at Villa Tittoni Traversi in Desio in 2004, Olim Gallery in Bergamo, Eclettica Gallery in Milan, Civic Library Macherio in 2005, Civic Room E. Mariani in Seregno, Guicciardini Area in Milan in 2006; Lazarus Gallery by Corsi in Milan, Scoglio di Quarto in Milan in 2007, Rezzonico Palace in Barlassina in 2008, Chie Art Gallery in Milan in 2009, Schafstall Museum in Neuenstadt am Kocher (Germany) 2011, Rizzoli Gallery in Milan 2011, Broletto Palace Como 2011, White Church Maloja (Switzerland), and Villa Brivo Nova Milanese 2012, Civic Museum Parisi Valle Maccagno 2012.

In 1990 he won the prize Durini then in 1991 the award Bice Bugatti, in 1994 Arte Oggi Miart in Europe, in 1995 he won again The Bice Bugatti for painting and the Durini for watercolor, in 1996 the prize for incision in Nova Milanese, in 1998 the second prize at the X National Painting Competition Palazzo Terragni Lissone. His works are in public and private collections in Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Japan, Argentina, Bolivia, South Korea.

Devoted primarily to painting, incision and ceramics he dedicated to the professional stage setting and the restoration of cultural heritage.

He lives and works in Desio.
